Trendy: Holographic clutches

Ok, so in the world of fashion, most trends come and go faster then I can finish a carton of ice cream. And this is one trend I think won't last for long, but hopefully can drag itself into the next few months. I'm personally super surprised at liking this trend, because I've never been one for statement clutches. But after seeing this trend all over tumblr, I think that paired correctly, it can be super cute and really trendy.
Now, what trend am I going on about?
Holographic clutches.
They've come into the designer world, seen with celebrities, and all over tumblr dashboards. You've probably seen them, but if you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a generic photo I found via eBay. You can find the item by clicking here.

These trippy pieces are pretty cool and I think paired with jeans, heels, and a simple tee or blazer makes a perfect street-style outfit. I noticed these bags were/are popular amongst the "bambi" and "fresh" tumblr blogs.

 I've also noticed, a lot of times these bags tend to run larger and somewhat envelope style. They also tend to be in clutch form.
They come in an array of colours too; pink/purple and silver tend to be most common.

These bags aren't running unnoticed; some high-end designers and brands have noticed it and created their own versions. The trend is available for cheap now, too. Some of these can include Marc Jacobs, Zara, H&M, DailyLook.com, eBay, NastyGal, and more.

What do you think of the trend? I'm a fan, but I'm not planning to dish out a lot of money, as I do think the trend might fade. In fact, I'm thinking of DIY-ing my own. Lemme know!
