Quickie; you don't need to re-do your wardrobe!

Hey babes! I thought I'd put up a super quick post for you guys right now :) This is about how you can have/take a few simple pieces and completely switch styles.

Basically, I was looking through my Polyvore profile earlier and I noticed I'd made two outfits which had so many of the same components, but they were two COMPLETELY different styles.

Here, take a look!;

I don't know if you'll notice, but these two outfits share a bunch of components, but they're totally different.

Both have a black hat, short/cropped black tops, the same oversized cream cardigan, and almost identical black ankle boots.

After a bit more looking, I found some more outfits which run sharing similar clothing items;

3.

What I'm trying to say here, is that you can take super simple key pieces and use them in all sorts of outfits, which fit tons of different styles/outfits and are super versatile. I recommend investing in some of these really basic pieces because they always hold outfits together well, work in tons of different situations, and (like I mentioned earlier) will fit into all types of styles, and from there, get more style-specific pieces. These are pieces you won't need to get rid of when the next trend sweeps along; they'll pass through all sorts (including if you change your style!)

Okay, so maybe the post wasn't that quick after all. What do you think? Would you rather have lots of versatile pieces or tons which follow the trends and you've gotta change every season?
