Check out the set I made;
1. Phone: I think we can all agree a phone is a must-have nowadays. I mean, lets be real here, it makes life much more convenient; especially if you need it for business. It helps us keep in contact; (which could be necessary, and of course unnecessary, and honestly, nowadays technology is such a huge part of our lifestyles that we don't think twice about carrying a phone.
2. Earbuds: So I don't know about you, but I find earbuds are always a must have for me. If you have to wait for someone, they give you something to do; if you're on a bus/train etc you can ignore the annoying, loud people, and they just give you the chance to listen to music wherever you'd like.
3. Small Water Bottle: We all know how we need water to survive, all the bonus health effects it gives us, and so on. Keep a small water bottle with you to avoid getting caught thirsty, and having to go and purchase a water, or, an unhealthy drink option (like pop). Water can also help curb food cravings throughout the day, and having water with you all the time will help you stay hydrated. The bottle I put into the set is a Water Bobble; it has a built in filter, so it's perfect if you need to refill throughout the day somewhere on-the-go, because it will purify your water for you to make sure it's a little bit cleaner.
4. Wallet: I'm pretty sure no explanation is needed here. Keep your money, cards, etc organized and all in one place.
5. Rollerball Perfume: Rollerballs are awesome. Super lightweight and compact, they're relatively cheap and come in almost all scents. They only take up about the space of a pen. If you're feeling a little bit smelly, or just want to touch up throughout the day, these guys are awesome. Not to mention you don't have to worry as much about the cap falling off/smashing a larger perfume bottle in your travels.
6. Hand Sanatizer: The world is full of grossness and germs and just, blegh. You might not always have to opportunity to wash your hands wherever you are, so keep a hand sanatizer in your bag. They take up little to no space, and they're always really cheap and can kill germs wherever you are. Wether it be getting of a bus or subway, or grabbing some grub from a street vendor, keep germs at bay by keeping hand sanatizer handy. ((Get it???)) I love the ones from Bath & Body Works because they're super cheap and you can always get them on specials like 3 for $5, and they come in tons of scents and fun packaging.
7. Makeup Musthaves: I like to keep a small makeup bag with me with very basic, touch-up makeup items with me. In mine, I keep eyeliner, mascara, blotting sheets, chapstick, and elastics for my braces. I don't wear eyeshadow, but if you do, maybe keep that with you? I also recommend keeping a neutral lip colour that you can wear with anything, in case you forget to throw in whatever you're wearing that day. I forgot to add it in, but a compact mirror is also really handy. Forever21 has some cute, cheap makeup bags and compacts.
8. House / Car Keys: No explanation needed?
9. Oyster/Metro/Bus/Etc Card: If you take the subway, bus, train, etc and have a pass, this is always handy to keep on you. (I have to use a bus pass...nooooo). Even if you aren't planning on taking it that day, it's always good to keep with you incase you get stranded and so you won't misplace it for later.
10. Gum / Mints: If you're craving food, or hungry and can't find somewhere to eat, gum and mints can be a big help. They also keep your tastebuds busy for a while until you can find something. And nobody likes coffee/garlic breath...just saying.
11. Small Notebook / Planner: Most people probably just use the notes / calendar apps on their phone, but if you don't like those, a small notebook or planner is a good option. I like to keep a small notebook with me so I can always write stuff down to remember, post about or look up later, something to add to a wishlist I saw instore, etc. Don't forget to keep a pen or pencil with you at all times aswell, because you never know when one will be good to have. I always keep a hot pink one on me.
12: Energy/Granola Bar: Perfect to have if you find yourself hungry and there's nowhere to eat. They're filling enough to hold you off a big longer, and don't take up much room. If you opt for an energy bar, like a Clif/Luna bar, I find these are a bit heavier which is why I like them, because they're more filling. Just try and avoid eating these every day.
So that's it! Once again, a post I hoped to keep short gone seriously long. I added a few small bags that I'm loving along the side/bottom if you need some inspiration.
Do you carry a large bag, or a small bag? What are some of your essentials? Lemme know in the comments below.
Talk to you soon!
xx
