Rainy Day Essentials

So, today it rained. I quite like rainy weather, so I was relatively happy about this weather. I find rainy weather is really cozy, like staying huddled indoors all day in comfy clothes, with hot tea, candles burning, and the perfect excuse to blog or read all day.
I spent my day running errands with my mom for Thanksgiving preparations for tomorrow, fighting with Polyvore, then finishing up the book I was reading.

Anyways, I thought I'd do a post on my rainy day essentials!

Essential #1- comfy, oversized crewnecks/jumpers

Probably my favourite thing about the months getting colder; the excuse of pulling out oversized jumpers. They're super warm and cozy, and if you like them oversized, perfect to snuggle up inside. These go well with jeans, leggings, yoga pants, and sometimes even shorts. (I love wearing jumpers and shorts!) Oversized cardigans are awesome too.
Here are some cute ones.

I didn't do a post for pants, but I like leggings most of the time. If you have no plans of going out, pajama pants and sweats are the way to go. If you need to leave, or be out all day, jeans are probably the best way to go; they won't soak as quickly, and they'll keep you relatively warm.

Naturally, we need to share some random rainy day essentials. Some of mine are thick socks, beanies, 80's movies, and tea. I love the Tazo china green tips or the Twining's green tea. If you haven't seen TBC or Sixteen Candles... do yourself a favour and watch them. Any book is also a must for me. Candles are another great thing for these days.

I created some rainy day type outfits below..

If all else fails, throw on some old clothes and boots and a jacket and go splash in the puddles!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone :)
